Bay State woman charged with DWI after leading police on early morning chase

WINDHAM - A Massachusetts woman was arrested for drunken driving and multiple other charges on Sunday after leading police on a high-speed chase from Windham into Manchester.

The chase unfolded around 3:25 a.m. when a state trooper made the traffic stop due to lane control issues, and the subject vehicle sped away when he approached the driver's side door.

At least one other cruiser joined in the chase which didn't end till the chase vehicle, a 2018 Honda Accord, lost control in the area of Exit 8 in Manchester and struck a guardrail along the right side of the roadway, police said in a statement sent today.

With the Honda disabled due to damage sustained in the crash, the operator was taken into custody and transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester where she was found to have no serious injuries.

Genesis Quezada, 24, of Haverhill, Mass., was charged with aggravated DWI, reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, operating after suspension, reckless operation and multiple lane violations.

She was released on personal recognizance bail on those charges, but was held on $2,000.00 cash bail as a result of having two warrants for her arrest out of the 10^th Circuit, District Division - Salem Court. She was transported to the Rockingham County Jail where she was held on the active warrants pending an arraignment.
