Breast cancer benefit features pink UTV raffle

LEBANON - Cancer affects all of us – no one escapes losing friends, family or neighbors. 

Kioti tractor has partnered with Batchelder Sales and Route 1 Tractor Sales to raffle a Pink UTV Mechron to support a local breast cancer organization. After talking with various hospital social workers dealing with breast cancer patients we decided to donate 100 percent of the ticket sales to “My Breast Cancer Support,” a Batchelder's spokesman said on Wednesday.

In the past our advertising budget has been restricted to supporting activities within the Town of Lebanon, the spokesman added.

The “My Breast  Cancer Support” organization is local but does reach beyond Lebanon, to the Greater Seacoast area of Maine and New Hampshire.

The goal of this 501(c) 3 non-profit organization is to provide support to families who “fall thru the cracks.”

All recipients are referred by local hospital social service departments. Gas cards, gift bags with books and resources for family members including a children’s mentor program, travel scholarships to breast cancer conferences and retreats are a few of the support services provided to cancer patients so that they can focus their energies on getting well.  

Tickets are $10. The goal of the fund-raiser is to sell 1000 tickets between now and the first week of October.
