LEBANON - Lebanon businesses came through bigtime on Sunday as sponsors of the charity softball game between Gilpatrick Property Service and the Lebanon Fire Department.

The game raised some $1,200 dollars for Lebanon’s Summer Camp, 173½ pounds of food for Lebanon food pantries and 52 toys for the Fire Department Corporation’s Christmas Toys for Lebanon Kids program.

The sponsors included Skydive New England, Batchelder Sales, Robertson Auto, Brian’s Brake and Muffler, Kenney Automotive, Welch’s Hardware and Lumber, M & D Auto, Gilpatrick Property Service, STS Construction, J Rankin Towing, Oakwoods Lumber, Paras Pizza, Beaulieu Logging, Salmon Falls River RV Resort and Thompson Autobody LLC. Also, a donation was made by Lee’s Floral Garden.

The Lebanon Fire Department came up short against Gilpatrick Property Services 27-10, but with all the money, food and toys collected, everybody was a winner.

Other sponsors included School House Ice Cream and Lebanon Pines Golf, who donated ice cream and a round of golf for raffle drawings. The Lebanon Little League pitched in by allowing the teams to use their field and concession stand open.

A special thank you should be made to Marie Gagnon who donated her portion of a 50-50 raffle back to the Recreation Camp.
