LEBANON - A half-dozen Lebanon residents including three children escaped serious injuries last night when the vehicles they were in collided at the corner of Lower Cross and Center roads around 7:30 p.m.

The accident occurred when a 2000 Dodge Caravan traveling north on Center Road collided with a 2003 Dodge Caravan making a turn off Lower Cross Road onto Center Road, according to a press release from Lebanon Rescue. The impact resulted in the older Caravan skidding into the George Stuart Baseball Field parking area while the other car spun around in the road and came to rest in the southbound lane.

All six occupants of the vehicles were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the 2000 Dodge Caravan was a 39-year-old male from Lebanon. He had three children in the vehicle with him ranging in age from 6 to 11.

The driver of the 2003 Dodge Caravan was a teenage female from Lebanon. She had with her a 43-year-old male passenger also from Lebanon.

Both vehicles were destroyed in the accident and towed from the scene. Center Road was closed for a short time.
