ROCHESTER - The City of Rochester will begin a roof replacement project at City Hall on Wednesday. Work is expected to take 7-10 business days to complete, with crews on site weekdays between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

On the first day of the project, the side entrance of City Hall facing the Police/Assessing buildings will be temporarily closed. A section of the street in front of that entrance will also be closed for approximately 4-5 hours to allow a crane to lift materials onto the roof, according to a Tuesday release from the city.

A similar closure will take place on the final day of the project to allow for the removal of equipment and supplies.

Traffic will be directed around work zones, and signage will be posted to guide pedestrians to alternative entrances.
