MADBURY - A Rochester man was arrested for DUI after a crash in Madbury that left another man seriously injured.

State Troopers responded just before noon on Saturday to a report of a rollover crash resulting in a person getting thrown out of a vehicle on Freshet Road.

The preliminary investigation determined that a 2009 Honda Civic had been traveling south when the driver, Cameron Renner, 21, of Rochester, lost control and crossed the centerline into the opposing lane of travel, according to a release sent out Monday.

Police say Renner then overcorrected, and the Honda went off the west shoulder of the road where it rolled over multiple times, ejecting the passenger.

Renner was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, while the adult male passenger was transported for treatment of serious but nonlife-threatening injuries.

Due to the severity of the crash, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit was requested to assist with the investigation. As a result, Renner was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, falsifying physical evidence, and reckless operation. Renner was released on personal recognizance pending an appearance in the Dover District Court scheduled for Oct. 9.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Trooper First Class Nathaniel Goodwin at Nathaniel.D.Goodwin@dos.nh.gov.
