ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was taken into custody on Sunday in connection with an incident in which prescription drugs were found in his vehicle on Milton Road earlier this month.
Police got involved around 10:10 p.m. on Sept. 17 when they responded to a call about a suspicious motor vehicle parked near some bushes on the side of the road.
Officers located the parked vehicle with its lights on, and found two occupants inside, including Anthony Hood Jr., 33, of Rochester.

"Officers noticed evidence of drug related crimes in plain view and impounded the vehicle to await a search warrant," Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said on Thursday.
During subsequent investigation officers located prescription drugs in the vehicle, a white powdery substance, and a double-edged knife, according to Pinkham.
"Police also learned Hood was a certified Habitual Offender.
He was charged with dealing/possessing prescription drugs, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, criminal trespass, felony operating a vehicle as a habitual offender and felony applying for a gun permit while a convicted felon.
Both felonies can draw prison sentences of up to seven years apiece.
