City parking ban in effect in certain areas tonight

A citywide parking ban is in effect from 11 p.m. tonight till

6 a.m. Thursday in the downtown areas defined below.

The Department of Public Works will be out doing snow removal in the three downtown areas. The following streets will be affected.

Downtown area Rochester

South Main from Lambert to North Main

North Main St. From South Main to Maple

Wakefield Street from South Main to Union Street.

Portland Street from Columbus Ave to Charles.

All of Union Street, Bridge Street, Hanson Street, Central Ave and Liberty Street, Granite St. and Davyanne Locke Lane

Downtown area East Rochester

Main Street from Autumn to Cocheco Ave.

Downtown area Gonic

Main Street from Colby Street to Pickering Road. All of Colby Street

Church Street from Main Street to rear entrance to Gonic Mill.

Railroad Avenue from Pickering Rd to the Gonic School.

NO VEHICLE WITHOUT AN EXEMPTION PERMIT MAY BE PARKED ON THESE CITY STREETS OR IN CITY PARKING LOTSDURING THIS TIME PERIOD.
