On Election Day, nearly all public transit systems in New Hampshire will offer free rides to polling locations during voting hours. Voters traveling both to and from the polls can board regular fixed-route buses and ADA complementary paratransit services at no charge on participating systems.

"As community resources whose missions are to connect people and their communities, there is no greater service we can provide than helping New Hampshire citizens exercise their democratic right to vote," said Rad Nichols, Executive Director of COAST and Chair of the New Hampshire Transit Association.

"While each system may have slight variations in how riders notify their driver that they are going to the polls, all participating agencies will operate in good faith when riders state they are going to or returning from voting."

Riders should visit their local transit system's website for specific schedules and details related to Election Day transportation. A complete list of all public transit providers in New Hampshire can be found at www.nhtransit.org/transit-providers.
