Come on in, the water's fine: City pools now open for summer

ROCHESTER - Rochester Rec & Arena officially opened the city's public pools last Saturday with the following pools now open for the summer season:

East Rochester Pool
Located behind the former Nancy Loud School on Green Street, off Portland Avenue.

Public swim hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 11:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday and Friday: 2:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Gonic Pool
Located at Gonic School on Railroad Avenue, off Pickering Road.

Public swim hours:

Monday through Friday: 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Hanson Pines Pool & Kiddie Pool
Located on Yeagley Way in front of Spaulding High School.
