Commissioners deserve some static over subpar sound system

To the editor:
Perhaps if this letter could or should have been shorter, it would have gone something like this:
Hey, Strafford County Commissioners, "We Citizens pay for these Microphones, turn them on!"
(Ronald Regan said something like this during a Presidential Debate in New Hampshire)
But then, had The Rochester Voice posted it, i may have wound up next to a Personal Hygiene advertisement, and likely it would have gone unnoticed.
It's ironic, but it's not comical, when the Strafford County Commissioners and Delegate's meet in a Strafford County Superior Court courtroom, and there's no sound system available so that citizens across the crowded room can be heard.
You can bet there's plenty of "Side Bar Snickering," from the Delegates Gallery, which also takes up acoustic space and detracts from any normal person, (which, is always subjective,) being able to concentrate.
This seems to be the only "Bi-Partisan" agreement, in the scheme of things.
This is a time when Opposing Teams quiet down to eavesdrop on the latest "quips!"
When the Strafford County Superior Court is in session, there had better be a system in place for the accused, accuser, witenesses, attorney's and Judges, to be heard clearly.
Lives depend on total accountability. Today, recorded testimony has become a Critical Component.
A close Friend reminded me, there's a Televised / Audio Visual System available in the Strafford County House of Corrections. This is so that prisoners can state their case, from a specific area within the Jail, and not have to "Traverse the Un-Fruited Plains."
Everyone can hear ALL the "goings on" in the Courtroom.
WOW - what a great technological advancement, the county can find funding for.
You know, there's nothing worse than sending some poor inmate to court in the rain, only to have their brand new pair of "BOBO 500" sneakers, get soiled or wet. You certainly don't want an injury.
Remember: BOBO'S are "Slippery When Wet!" (Bonus Jovi)
It's extremely stressful for a speaker to be interrupted, then told they need to speak up.
Many have been interrupted like this more than once, in a single evening.
After all, a podium was in place just outside the Delegations "Corral," for the Pubic to speak.
This was especially evident at the last meeting, where Susan Rice was told repeatedly to speak up by the Delegation Chairman. She was more than overwhelmed by the situation. Not everyone can command such a large space in the same manner as Delegate and State representative Cliff Newton. Yet, in the end, Susan Rice's voice certainly rose to the occasion, and could clearly be heard, likely, out to the Parking lot!
Also, like Mr. Chuck Grassie, he also establishes his own set of "static" ground rules when he has a disagreement with an opposing faction. A truly wonderful sight to behold.
The ambience, in such a large room, filled with people, (in theory) Sucks.
Get real, there certainly is an audio system in there. Those Sophomore High School Acting Classes didn't pay off too well, did they? Trying to be perplexed over the situation at hand, is not good theater.
This is done by "Design."
It advances the need for confusion, to deliberately "disrupt" the public's input.
To the Strafford County Commissioners:
If there's a legitimate reason, the existing sound system can't be utilized in courtrooms, purchase an appropriate Sound System, yourselves.
An adequate system would be costly you say?
How many times can citizens hear that the County, which also supported the Sheriff's Annual Paramour Contingency Fund, yet, didn't affect the overall county budget in the least.
As a matter of fact it appears to come in Under Budget?
