ROCHESTER - Darren Robert Maxwell, 45, of Adams Avenue in Rochester, died Tuesday evening October 28, 2014, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
Born June 24, 1969, in Santa Clara, California, son of Robert A Maxwell and Shirley Jean (Fowler), he had resided in San Jose, California, Pennsylvania, Lebanon, Maine and lived in Rochester, the past 8 years.
He was employed as a salesperson at Brock's Plywood Sales in Rochester.
While most knew Darren as someone who was larger than life and who enjoyed such things as motorcycling, four wheeling, fishing, gatherings with family and friends, cookouts and campfires, those who knew him best knew he was a giant with an incredible heart to match and what he held closest to his heart was his family: Shari, their daughter and light of his life, Mia and his two sons, Michael and Zachary.
Darren was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Jean Menter on February 15, 2014. He is survived by his father, Robert A. and wife Beverly Maxwell, twin sons: Michael N. Maxwell and Zachary R. Maxwell, all of San Jose, Calif., his girlfriend of 8 years Shari Drew and their daughter: Mia N. Maxwell of Rochester; a brother: Brett Maxwell, his stepfather: Albert Menter, stepbrothers Jason Menter and Brooke, Justin Menter and Liz, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
