DOVER - David R. Lambert, 79, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at The Residence at Silver Square Assisted Living Facility in Dover after a period of declining health.
David was born on May 13, 1945, in Rochester to the late Alphonse W. Lambert and Marguerite (Vachon) Lambert.
A proud veteran, David honorably served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After returning home, David worked at Robert Shoe in Somersworth for several years then worked at R&J Vending where he made several friends along his delivery routes. Later, David built a career as a Quality Control Technician at Lydall, where in 1997 he was granted a United States Patent for Filter Material for removing Chorine from cold water in preparing a human-consumable beverage.

David was a 15-year survivor of Prostate Cancer.

He was a lifetime member of The Rochester Elks Lodge #1393.

David was a truly remarkable humble man. In his free time, David loved going on vacation trips to the Caribbean, attending family events, fishing, and working around the yard.

David is survived by his two children, David Lambert and his wife Debra, of Farmington; and Darcy Gesner and her husband Tom, of Wakefield; his four grandchildren, Matthew Lambert; Joshua Adams; Erica (Lambert) Hefler; Ashley (Lambert) Meehan; his two great-grandchildren, Jacob Lambert and Kennedy Meehan; and many nieces and nephews. David's grandchildren nicknamed him "Puppie".
David is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Beverly (Blaisdell) Lambert, and his brother Paul Lambert of Beaufort, S.C.
