Dog licenses expire April 30; Rabies Clinic set for May 11

ROCHESTER - The Rochester City Clerk's Office is informing city residents that 2024-2025 dog tags are now available. Current dog licenses expire on April 30, and licensing is now available online and in the clerk's office.

New dogs and puppies are required to be registered two weeks from the date of their rabies vaccination. Veterinarians are required by law to inform the Clerk's Office of all rabies shots given.

There will be a Rabies Clinic on May 11 noon-2 p.m., at the Rochester Ice Arena, located at 63 Lowell St. The shots go for $20 cash only.

Cats must be in a carrier and dogs must be on a leash. Additionally, the Deputy City Clerk will be on site to license dog(s) for Rochester residents. Regular license fees apply.
