Donald 'Papa' Stowell Sr. ... retired from PNSY; at 88

MILTON MILLS - Donald "Papa" Stowell Sr., born July 5, 1936, died peacefully on April 21, 2025.
Don was born in Milton Mills to Leon and Mary Stowell. He was raised on the family farm. As a boy he spent his days riding Poco his pony and exploring the woods with a rifle slung over his shoulder in search of adventures.
After graduating from Nute high in 1955, he joined the Army serving until 1958. Don spent 30 years at the Portsmouth naval shipyard where he developed many strong friendships, memories and camaraderie before retiring in 1995. Don was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Don was predeceased by his first wife Betty in 2004. Don is survived by his current wife Georgette, and his four children, Donald Jr and his wife Jane; Debra; Darleen; and Craig; his eight grandchildren, Ashley; Madison; Kennedi; Declan; Keegan; Athena; Heather; Seth; his sister Teri, and her husband John.
