DOVER - Doris Pauline (Desmarais) Lavoie passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Watson Fields Assisted Living in Dover, NH.

Doris was born on August 12, 1930, in Springvale, Maine to the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. and Albertine (Plante) Desmarais.

She married the love of her life, Leo (Joe), on January 31, 1948. The two were married for 60 years prior to his passing. The two shared the same birthday, with just a few years difference between them.

Doris and Joe were often seen together at their jewelry store, Albert's Jewelry, in downtown Rochester, which was very successful. They made many friends and had a wonderful customer base during their 11 years.

Doris was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester. When the Holy Rosary Credit Union opened, she became one of the first members, even getting her photo posted in the branch. She was also involved with the extension services provided throughout Strafford County. Doris assisted Joe with the horse races at the Rochester Fair for many years. After retirement both Joe and Doris enjoyed spending the winters in Englewood, Florida.

Doris has a loving family which includes her children and grandchildren, the late Leon and wife Renee and their children Erin, Katheryn, and Haley; Ronnie and Jan and their children Jason and Dawn; Glen and Sandy of whom has passed away; Rene and wife Brett and their children Lincoln and Travis; and the late Donna and husband Carl and their children the late Bradley and Evan. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren as well as a sister in-law Theresa Thomas and her husband Roger of Lebanon, Maine.
