Dover woman with minor in car nabbed for DWI

ROCHESTER - A Dover woman driving drunk with a youngster in the car was arrested after crashing into an Oak Street fire hydrant Saturday, according to Rochester Police.

Kathleen Stackpole of 8 Northway Circle, Apt. 13, in Dover, was charged with Aggravated Driving while Intoxicated, Endangering the welfare of a child, Littering and Possession of Drugs.

According to police, Stackpole was driving a blue 2006 Chevrolet HHR east on Oak Street around 4:45 p.m. when her vehicle lost control and hit a fire hydrant. There was a juvenile passenger under the age of 16 in the vehicle, police said in a Saturday press release.

 

Police learned Stackpole was intoxicated and she was arrested at the scene.

There were no injuries. The vehicle suffered heavy damage and was towed.

Stackpole was released on $5,000 personal recognizance and will be arraigned at the 7th District Court in Rochester later this month.
