Driver arrested for DUI after slamming into five cars on I-93, crashing his own

CONCORD - A Laconia man was arrested on Sunday after he crashed into five cars while driving erratically on Interstate 93 before leaving the roadway and crashing into an embankment in Sanbornton.

Connor Sullivan, 27, was charged with DUI, operating without a valid license and conduct after an accident.

Police got involved after around 3:20 p.m. as NHSP Troop D responded to the report of a vehicle traveling erratically on Interstate 93 North. Troopers responded to the area to intercept the vehicle, but while responding, dispatch advised that a motor vehicle accident had occurred on Interstate 93 North in Sanbornton.

A trooper responded to the scene to find that vehicle had exited the roadway and crashed into the embankment off the shoulder of the Interstate.

Sullivan was booked and released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned in the Franklin District Court.
