Dumpsters get dumped in Haven Hill Road mishap

ROCHESTER - A tractor trailer carrying too high a load struck the Haven Hill Road trestle Friday spilling Dumpsters and other debris on the road and limiting traffic on the road to one lane for about a half hour.

Police got the call around 2:50 p.m. and found that a 2011 Kenworth driven by Tyler Spencer, 25, of Manchester N.H., was traveling west when the Dumpsters the vehicle was carrying in the bed struck the railroad trestle.

The tractor trailer is owned by Shipyard Waste Solutions of Eliot, Maine.

This impact caused the Dumpsters to be ejected from the rear of the truck damaging both the truck and the Dumpsters.

Spencer was not injured in the collision.

North Coast Railroad was contacted about the accident and said it was going to send someone out to inspect the trestle for damage.

The trestle is clearly posted for the lower height and has signs and flashing lights to that effect, but has been the scene of several over-height vehicle accidents in the past nonetheless.
