ROCHESTER - Eleanor Sanborn, 92, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, in Rochester, New Hampshire, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Born on June 8th, 1933, in her family home in East Rochester, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Charles Cole and Thelma (Sinclair) Cole. From a young age, faith became the guiding light in her life. At just three years old, she began attending her church--a commitment she upheld for nearly nine decades. Whether singing in the pews, lending a helping hand at church events, or sharing laughter and conversation with fellow members, Eleanor's devotion to her church family was unwavering.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Robert Sanborn, of Somersworth, NH; her son, Jim Bolton, and his wife Wanda, of Rochester, NH; her grandchildren, Aaron, Amy, Eric, Amanda; her six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved son, Charles Bolton, in 2021, and her sister, Marion Bruce.
