ROCHESTER - Rochester Police on Tuesday arrested a suspect in an armed robbery on Monday at the Milton Road Hannaford pharmacy.

Police responded to a tip around 10 a.m. on Wednesday that reported a person matching the description of the robbery suspect was in the vicinity of the DOT shed off the Spaulding Turnpike Connector.

Police had an active warrant for Ryan Wilkinson, 41, of Farmington, that was issued late Monday. When police arrived at the DOT shed they located Wilkinson, who was taken into custody and charged with robbery.

Police say that Wilkinson entered the Hannaford store around 7 p.m., went to the pharmacy, displayed a handgun and demanded prescription medication. The pharmacist complied, and Wilkinson exited the store.

He is being held at Strafford County Jail pending an arraignment later today in Strafford Superior Court.
