ROCHESTER - The Utilities Division of the Department of Public Works will be temporarily turning the water off in the area of Forest Park Drive today between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The reason for this shutdown is to allow a crew to replace a hydrant and valve at 9 Forest Park Drive. During this time, water customers will experience little or no water pressure.

As a result of this work, customers may experience air or some discoloration. This discoloration is from naturally occurring minerals that have precipitated in the water lines, according to a statement from the city. If needed, please run a cold water tap for a short time to clear your water.

For questions or concerns, please call the Department of Public Works at (603) 332-4096.
