Gonic neighborhoods plagued by break-ins

GONIC - Police are investigating a spate of burglaries in several Gonic neighborhoods that are believed to have been committed by the same individual or individuals.

The break-ins have occurred in the Stillwater Circle, Hansonville Road and Cemetery Road areas, predominately around Stillwater Circle, where five of the seven since Jan. 8 happened.

The Stillwater Circle neighborhood also comprises Spirit Creek Road and Sugar Brook Drive.

The burglaries have all occurred during early morning daytime hours and on various days of the week. Each of these burglaries also included some type of forced entry, and the suspects made off with similar items in each incident.

Police are urging residents in these neighborhoods, especially, keep their property secure and to keep an eye out for suspicious individuals and vehicles in the neighborhood and people walking around buildings and through yards where they don't belong.

If residents see anything suspicious, police are warning them to not approach them, but call Rochester Police at 330-7127.

Further if residents see an active break-in in progress they are urged to call 911.

Tipsters who have further knowledge as to the identity of the suspects or have further information please contact Rochester Police at 330-7127 or call Rochester Crimeline at 335-6500. All calls to the Rochester Crimeline will remain confidential and rewards are given for information, which leads to arrests.
