GREENVILLE - A Greenville man has been indicted on charges of possession and access with intent to view child sex abuse material.
According to court documents, Paul Birner, 50, was previously convicted of possessing child sexual abuse materials in Utah, where he served time.
After his release, Birner moved to New Hampshire, according to a Friday release from the U.S. Attorneys Office in Concord.
As part of his sentence, the defendant was under the supervision of New Hampshire Probation/Parole.
As part of his monitoring the parole office conducted a scheduled meeting with Birner and reviewed data on his cell phone during which numerous images and videos containing child sex abuse images were found.
The charges call for a sentence of not less than 10, and not greater than 20 years of imprisonment.
