LEBANON, Maine - Theresa Hartford and William Church topped an eight-candidate field to claim three-year selectmen slots in Tuesday voting at Lebanon Elementary School.
Hartford topped the leaderboard with 441 votes, followed by Church with 333, Robin Carleton with 208, Robert Travers with 151, James Duprie with 138 and David Salvatore with 111.
The other selectmen's race, a one-year term, was won by longtime selectman Paul Philbrick, who had no opposition.
Meanwhile, the race for a three-year position on the SAD 60 school board was won by Melissa Cyr who decisively bested Duprie 540-288.
Three budget committee slots went to Janice Church, Theresa Hartford and Geneva-Beth Nice.
The job of road commissioner went to Zachary Davis, who won out over current commissioner Scott Gerrish, 463-350.
In a highly contested referendums a town spending cap was defeated 417-396.
All town departments were fully funded, but a special ordinance to add $347,000 to increase fire and ems day and night staffing was rejected 525-345.
The rest of the 41 referendums for funding of things like the library, animal control officer and welfare funds all passed easily.
