Hudson man arrested in beating death of his mother

HUDSON - A Hudson man has been arrested in the beating death of his mother on Wednesday.
Grant DeGiacomo, 26, stands charted with second degree murder in connection with the July 5 death of 57-year-old Christine DeGiacomo of Hudson.
Hudson police responded around 9:45 p.m. to a disturbance call at 35 Shoal Creek Road where they found Christine DeGiacomo suffering from a traumatic injury, according to a statement sent out by the AG's office on Thursday,
Christine DeGiacomo was transported for emergency medical treatment but was later pronounced dead at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
Grant DeGiacomo is charged with recklessly causing the death of Christine DeGiacomo under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by repeatedly striking her head, the statement said.
An autopsy will be scheduled and conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Grant DeGiacomo is scheduled for arraignment today at the Hillsborough Superior Court-Southern District.
