In the midst of winter's darkest hours, a way tor families to let in the light of love

ROCHESTER - The Children's Room at the Rochester Public Library invites families to participate in the "Hygge Family Journey," a program designed to create a warm, friendly, family atmosphere that nurtures the soul and brings cozy comfort to all.

Hygge (pronounced hoog-uh) is a Danish word that describes the feeling of coziness, contentment, and sense of well-being brought on by taking pleasure in simple, gentle comforts while fostering positive social interactions and togetherness.

Interested families can sign up at the Children's Desk, get a starter kit, and choose a team name. Families will receive an activity sheet with 30 family-centered activities to complete by the end of February. Each activity will be stickered when completed.

Upon return of the completed activity sheet families will be entered in a chance to win a fun-family raffle basket.
