ROCHESTER - Jeremiah J Stuart, 101, of Jeremiah Lane in Rochester, N.H. died on Tuesday, February 03, 2015.
He was born in Rochester on October 26, 1913, a son of Walter Jeremiah (Jeddie) and Minnie Allen Stuart.
He attended local schools. His first job was working at the woolen mills in East Rochester. During World War II, he worked for several years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Later, he became a master carpenter. He retired in 1977 but continued to do carpentry work as requested.
He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in East Rochester.
Jeremiah is survived by three sons: Norman Stuart (Sharyn); Richard Stuart (Trish); and J. Bruce Roberts; two sisters: Evelyn Huppe (Leo) and Elsie Huggard (predeceased Clayton); daughter-in-law: Lorene Stuart; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Jeremiah was predeceased by three brothers, George, Archie, and Reginald.
