TILTON - John D. Riley Sr., 90, died peacefully on Jan. 10, 2024, at the New Hampshire Veteran's Home in Tilton.

Born Oct. 19, 1933, in Gloucester, Mass., to James W and Julia (Cameron) Riley.

John has lived in Tilton for the past year after moving from Rochester. He worked at Eastern Propane as a serviceman for 40 years and was a gas tech for over 47 years total. He served in the Navy during the Korean war. He was a past member of the Masonic Temple in Somersworth. John loved the Lord and his favorite past time was reading the Bible and he knew it well.

John was predeceased by his parents, precious wife, and many friends and loved ones.

John leaves behind seven children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, one brother and many nieces and nephews and too many family loved ones to mention, along with his two faithful friends, Myron Gilman and Pat McMullen.
