ROCHESTER - John Mirasola Jr., 59, of Rochester, doed on Nov. 18th, 2023. John was born on Nov. 4, 1964, in Portsmouth, to Mary and John Mirasola, the youngest of five siblings.

He was born and raised in Portsmouth where he graduated from High School and started his career as an EMT. He served his community for over 20 years as an EMT. He loved helping people and was proud of the impact he made during his time in the medical field.

John enjoyed being a volunteer at his church. His selfless acts of kindness and giving really shined while serving as a greeter, teaching in children ministries, and lending a hand at a food pantry. John really demonstrated what it meant to be the hands and feet of GOD.

One of Katrina's favorite memories of her dad is remembering the day he came over for a visit and later that night Aiden wouldn't fall asleep. This was unusual as Aiden always went to sleep at the same time every night. John burst out in laughter confessing that he may have given Aiden some coffee. Turns out 'some' equaled the whole cup of coffee. Thus, the mystery of why Aiden would not sleep was quickly solved.

One of Angelina's favorite memories of her dad is of the special eggs he would cook for her. She may likely be the only person who will miss her dad's eggs as they were an acquired taste. While many would describe them as over seasoned, Angelina describes them as delicious. Our dad certainly seasoned those eggs with his heart.

John was a family man. He enjoyed every second he spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Whether it was playing board games with the older kids or pretending to eat play dough food made by the younger grandchildren, John was always happiest in the presence of his family.

John is survived by his daughters and there husband(s); Angelina, Katrina and Kenny; four grandchildren, Aiden, Keira, Kaleyah, and Ariyah; his sisters and there husband(s) Rose & Warren Field, Diane & Chuck Halsey, and Cathy and Mark Trembley; and his many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his sister Ann Marconi and his parents Mary and John Mirasola Sr.
