ROCHESTER - A pair of robbers, one brandishing a knife, are still at large today after holding up the Milton Road Shell gas station earlier this morning and making off with an undisclosed amount of money.

When Rochester police got the call at 2:40 a.m. they responded to the gas station/convenience store at 198 Milton Road where the clerk reported that two male suspects entered the building and demanded money from the register. One of them allegedly produced a knife when the clerk did not immediately respond. After being given an undetermined amount of cash the pair reportedly fled on foot southbound on Milton Road.

The Rochester Police K-9 Unit responded to the scene, but as of this story, the pair has not been located, police said.

Both suspects are described as being white, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10 and weighing 130-150 pounds.

Police say one was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white emblem on the left front chest with gray sleeves. His hood was reportedly up covering his head, and he wore a dark colored mask covering his face. He was wearing dark pants and white sneakers.

The other wore a dark colored, possibly fleece sweatshirt with white writing on the left front chest. He has short brown hair and wore a dark piece of cloth covering his face. He also wore dark jeans and brown boots and was carrying a black knife.

This isn’t the first time a Milton Road gas station was robbed recently. Back in June the Lil’ Mart at 174 Milton Road was robbed. That robbery was also executed at knifepoint.

Rochester Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to contact the Rochester Police Department at 330-7127.  Alternatively, calls can be made to the Rochester Crimeline at 335-6500. All calls to the Rochester Crimeline will remain confidential and rewards may be given for information leading to an arrest.  Tipsters can also text the Rochester Crimeline at Crimes (274637) in the body of the text, simply write TEXT4CASH followed by their tip.
