LA nets top honors when it comes to being soccer mecca

With the U.S. Open Cup final coming up at the very beginning of October and the U.S. Women's National Team having last ended their run with the initial round of 16 at the FIFA Women's World Cup, the personal-finance company WalletHub today released its report on 2025's Best Cities for Soccer Fans.

To find the best places for loving on the world's favorite sport, WalletHub compared over 300 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional soccer team across five divisions comprising 52 key metrics. The data set ranges from minimum season-ticket price for a game to stadium accessibility to number of championship wins.

Best vs. Worst

• For MLS, FC Cincinnati's performance level is 2.1 times better than that of San Jose Earthquakes.
  
• For NWSL, Kansas City Current's performance level is 1.9 times better than that of the Racing Louisville FC.
  
• For USL, Louisville City FC's performance level is 2.3 times better than that of Loudoun United FC and Hartford Athletic.
  
• Houston has the lowest minimum season-ticket price for an MLS game which is 4.7 times less expensive than in Miami, Florida, the city with the highest.
  
• Orlando, Florida, has the lowest minimum season-ticket price for an NWSL game which is 2.2 times less expensive than in Los Angeles, California, the city with the highest.
  
• Birmingham, Alabama, has the lowest minimum season-ticket price for a USL game which is 2.5 times less expensive than in Charleston, South Carolina, the city with the highest.
