NEWINGTON - It is with great sadness that our beloved Laurie Ann "Bernier" King, a resident of Newington, died surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the age of 62. She was born on August 5, 1961, in Exeter, to the late Arthur "Sonny" Bernier and Irma Bernier. She was the eldest of four children and grew up in Epping.

She leaves behind her children: James King and daughter-in-law Felicia King; Jacob King; Sunnie King and companion Justin Neal; Julia Munroe and companion Daniel Olsen. She cherished her grandchildren: William King, Darrell King Hansen, and Axel Neal.

She is survived by her siblings, Cheryl Spinney and husband Robert Spinney, who was also jokingly referred to as Laurie's husband; Caryn Martin; Robert Bernier and partner Bobbi-Jo Morin; and Cousin Terri Ann Bernier.

She loved her nieces and nephews, they were all her children: Danielle Petlick and husband Michael Petlick, Anthony Martin and companion Ashley Meissner; Timothy Martin; Holly Spinney and companion David Nanos; Erika Hume; and Robby Spinney and companion Leanne Hurd; great nieces: Madison and Savannah Martin; Zuri and Isla Petlick; and bonus niece, Brynly Boston.

She is predeceased by her nephew, James Hume, Jr.

A special thank you goes out to the wonderful love and care she gave to Richard Spinney ("Pup") a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather throughout the last few years.

Laurie was employed in the legal field for over 30 years and spent the last 10 years at the Law Office of Bamford, Dedopoulos & Regan as an Administrative Assistant.

Laurie was happiest when surrounded by family for any and every occasion. She will forever be remembered for her amazing cooking and baking; every dish was made with love. If you were one of the lucky ones to receive a dish or a baked "treasure" made by Laurie, you held a special place in her heart.

She enjoyed a good game of California Rummy, to which she was the official scorekeeper, due to her astounding talent with numbers. Enduring the never-ending "tapping of her pen" while calculating score was far too distracting to play and attempt to beat her mad skills at the game.

Laurie never missed a birthday. There was no need to check social media, she let everyone know whose birthday was coming and when. You had best not forget to make your call or text to give your well wishes. It was important to Laurie that we all expressed our love for each other.

Laurie enriched all our lives and brought love and light to everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
