LEBANON - Lebanon Boy Scout Troop 369 held a free car wash Sunday to get out in the community and recruit new members.

Besides washing cars, the Scouts prepared Dutch oven meals and desserts, but sadly no customers wanted to sample the shepherd’s pie, blueberry cake, or cherry chocolate dump cake, but they were enjoyed by the Scouts and their leaders.

The troop would like to thank Lebanon House of Pizza and Goulet’s Auto for letting them use their lot and water hook up. The troop would also like to thank the many people who made donations that will be used for needed gear, equipment, and supplies.

The boys are now planning to hike Mt. Washington this weekend and will attend summer camp the last week of July.

The troop meets Sunday evenings, 6:30-7:30 p.m., September through June at the Lebanon fire station at the corner of Depot Road and Upper Cross Road.

Boys ages 11 (or who have completed fifth grade) through age 17, who are interested in joining the troop this summer, should contact Scoutmaster Norm Sirois at (207)252-4726 or normansirois@rocketmail.com.

Nathan Rose is a Boy Scout First Class with Lebanon Troop 369.
