LEBANON, Maine - Lionel A. Dube, Jr., "Chummy," 75, of Lebanon, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Born on April 5, 1950, in Dover, N.H., he was the son of the late Lionel and Violet (Allard) Dube. Lionel proudly served his country in the Navy, an experience he carried with pride throughout his life.
Chummy loved his family, the outdoors and working with his hands. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, tinkering on projects, and caring for his dogs, Lucy and Daisy. He also shared a special bond with his sister Claire, with whom he lived for many years. Their closeness as brother and sister was a true constant in his life and brought great comfort and joy to them both. Chummy was also a longtime member of the Moose Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he valued the friendships he made over the years.
He was predeceased by many of his beloved family members, including his son, Joseph Dube; daughter, Maria Cramer; sister, Sharlene Muhl; brothers-in-law, Donald Beetle and Ted Bowden; and nephews, Derek McAtavey and Corey Welch.
He is survived by his children, Lionel A. Dube III, Sara Dube, and Rose Owens; siblings, Joseph Dube and wife Shirley, Claire Randlett, Dennis Dube and wife Cindy, David Dube and wife Wendy, Susan Beetle, Darlene Kay and husband Russell, and Faith Bowden; as well as his grandchildren, Denzel Owens, Ezekiel Dube-Garrett, Joseph Dube-Garrett, Reese Dube-Garrett, Sabrina Cramer, Bianca Cramer, and Vinny Cramer, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Avenue, Dover, NH. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with burial at St. Mary New Cemetery in Dover. A Celebration of Life will be held in the afternoon starting approximately at 2:00PM at the Loyal Order of the Moose in Milton, NH, where loved ones will gather to share stories and memories in his honor.
