ROCHESTER - A new dining experience has arrived in the Lilac City, and you'll find it a sure bet.
The Lilac Club Casino is not only a great place to have some fun and excitement, it's also home to the Lucky Oak Bar & Grill, an expansive bar and restaurant that is surrounded by a dozen humongous flat screen TVs.
While we loved the roomy seating and surrounding buzz of those gambling, the food was also edgy and unique, such as their House Burger, which features a mixture of certified angus beef chuck, brisket and short rib along with lettuce, tomato, American cheese on griddled brioche bun for $15. You can add bacon or avocado for just an extra buck.
I don't see Reubens on the menu that much, so I went with that and was pleasantly pleased. It comprises thin sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, russian dressing and toasted marbled rye bread.
If you've never had a reuben, the combination of those flavors make for a taste treat. The Reuben was just $14.
Both meals came with french fries.
Another treat was the stellar, personalized service of our server, Lexi, who was extremely attentive, checking on us several times, including once after we'd had just a couple of bites.
