CONCORD - A Berlin man has been pleaded guilty and been sentenced to at least nine years in prison for multiple drug offenses in Carroll and Coos counites.
Eric S. Hogan, 29, of Berlin, pleaded guilty to one count of Possession of a Controlled Drug (Fentanyl) with Intent to Sell and one count of Dispensing a Controlled Drug (Fentanyl) in Carroll County Superior Court, which sentenced him to serve 9 to 20 years in the New Hampshire State Prison on the possession with intent charge, according to a press release sent from the Attorney Generals Office on Wednesday. On the dispensing charge, the court sentenced Hogan to 3.5 - 7 years in state prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the stand committed sentence.
Hogan also pleaded guilty to two counts of Sale of a Controlled Drug (Fentanyl) and two counts of Sale of a Controlled Drug (Cocaine) in Coos Superior Court. For the two fentanyl sale charges, the court sentenced Mr. Hogan to 10-20 years in state prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the stand committed sentence in Carroll County, and concurrent with all other sentences. For the two cocaine sale charges, the court sentenced him to 3.5-7 years in state prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the stand committed sentence in Carroll County, and concurrent with all other sentences.
The evidence in the case established that on April 16, 2024, in Conway, Hogan was found to be in possession of approximately 247 grams of fentanyl. Hogan admitted to investigators that he obtained and possessed the fentanyl with the intent to resell it, and that he had dispensed an amount of that fentanyl to a third party on April 15, 2024.
Evidence also established that Hogan participated in the sale of fentanyl and cocaine to a confidential informant in Berlin on two occasions in March and April of 2024.
