ROCHESTER - Marie Rose Tilton {Zette} 92, wife of the late Richard Tilton Sr. died on June 11 at The Residences at Silver Square in Dover, New Hampshire.

Marie was born on September 15, 1932 to Paul Amedee and Catherine Marcelle Mastorgio in Saint Mihiel, France. Marie was the eighth of eleven children. Marie married Richard Tilton in St. Mihiel, France on December 13th, 1954. Together they raised five children. After Richard's retirement from the U.S. Airforce in 1972, they resided in Rochester.

Marie was an avid cook and loved to share meals with her family and friends. She was known for her French cuisine and her apple pies. Every New Year she would make gallons of French onion soup for her family and neighbors.

Marie is survived by her children Frank and his wife Dorene of Northfield, Richard and his wife Nancy, Steve and his wife Janice, and Katherine Fowler, all of Rochester and Mike and his wife Donna of North Carolina. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at The Residence at Silver Square, Dover, and Wentworth Hospice in Somersworth for the compassion and the love they provided to Marie.
