LEBANON - Mary L. Grady, 72, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, after a period of failing health.

Mary was born in Jonesport, Maine, on June 2, 1941, the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Barrett) Alley and had been living in Lebanon, Maine since 1975, moving from Somersworth.

She was a graduate of Jonesport High School, class of 1960 and loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Prior to her retirement she worked at Davidson Rubber for 35 years. She was predeceased by a stepson, Kevin Grady, by a stepdaughter, Kelly Grady and by her father, Raymond Alley.

Surviving members of the family include: Her husband, James Grady of Lebanon, Maine, her mother Dorothy Alley, two sons, Wayne Merritt of Rochester, and Kevin Merritt and his wife Melina of Addison, Maine, one daughter, Karen Brunelas and her husband John of Rochester, one stepdaughter, Nancy Abrams of Rochester. She also leaves one brother, Millard Alley and his wife Marlene of Jonesport, Maine, four sisters, Donna Mills and her husband John and, Cindy Kelly and her husband Michael, both of Jonesport, Maine and Mona Emerson and her husband David and Brenda Crowley and her husband John, both of Addison, Maine, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, lifelong friends Marilyn and Webster Kelsey and many more special friends as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
