MANCHESTER - A Massachusetts man will be arraigned today after he was caught speeding more than 100 mph on Interstate 93 and was noncompliant with the State Trooper who pulled him over.

The incident unfolded Friday around 3:45 a.m. when the trooper patrolling I-93 South in Manchester spotted a black Cadillac XTS operating recklessly at 111 mph. The trooper conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver of the Cadillac as Kevin Mwaura, 21, of Danvers, Mass.

After Mwaura was told that he was being placed under arrest for reckless operation, he became noncompliant and attempted to physically resist the trooper's efforts to take him into custody. Mwaura was ultimately arrested and charged with reckless operation and resisting arrest.

Mwaura further refused to comply and cooperate during the booking process and declined bail. He is being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester and is scheduled to be arraigned today in Manchester District Court.
