Metal music fans show their mettle in RPAC fund-raising effort

ROCHESTER - Metal Heads, raised $500 at their first annual Metal Heads Fest - an all day music event featuring local heavy metal bands to help raise awareness and funding for Rochester Performance & Arts Center.
The festival, organized by Metal Heads, took place at The Garage at The Governor's Inn on Sunday.
Featured bands included Novakoi, Gods Go First, Stiletto and Wreckless Child, whose guitarist said the day was a fantastic success for metal music lovers.

"It was an excellent day of local rock," said Scott Gelzinis. "Everyone had a wonderful time, the weather was fantastic. Speaking on behalf of all four bands, we'd do this fest again in a heartbeat."
Gelzinis is also a guitar instructor at RPAC and sees students benefit from lessons each week.
