ROCHESTER - A Milton man was cited for a traffic light violation after his and another vehicle collided Monday night on Milton Road near the entrance to the Lilac Mall.

The crash occurred around 8:50 p.m. when police say Kari Wood, 38, of Rochester, was operating her 2003 Chevrolet S-10 and was making a left turn onto Wakefield Street from the mall when she was struck by Barry Brown, 58, of Milton, entering the intersection in his 2009 Subaru Forester while traveling northbound.

Brown's vehicle struck Wood's vehicle at the front, causing it to spin in a clockwise manner. Her juvenile passenger was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital as a precaution.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

All occupants were wearing seat belts.

As a result of the investigation, Brown was issued a summons for a traffic light violation.
