Mom, son, daughter nabbed on heroin charges

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested on heroin trafficking, and his mom and sister were charged with possession on Saturday after police, fire and EMS went to their home to check on a suspected heroin overdose.

Andrew Maniscalco, 38, of 8 Pleasant St., was charged with five felony counts of possession, felony possession with intent to distribute, and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, also a felony. He was held on $10,000 cash bail pending a Monday arraignment at Rochester District Court.

His mom, Patricia Maniscalco, 57, of the same address, was charged with two felony counts of possession. She was given personal recognizance bail pending a March arraignment.

Her daughter, Audra Maniscalco, 35, of the same address, was charged with one felony count of possession. She was also given personal recognizance with a March arraignment.

Police also arrested Kent Coffin, 60, of the same address on a single Class A misdemeanor count of possession. He was also bailed on personal recognizance pending a March arraignment.

Police who responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. found evidence of drug use, secured the property and applied for a search warrant which was approved leading to the arrests, said Rochester Police Lt. Jason Thomas today.

Meanwhile, the suspected overdose victim, who was transported and treated at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, had not been charged as of today, and it was still unclear whether or not she would be.
