Nashua woman seriously hurt in crash into box truck

NASHUA - A Nashua woman was seriously injured Tuesday in a crash involving a box truck on the F.E. Everett Turnpike.

The crash occurred around 11:20 a.m. on the F.E. Everett Turnpike northbound at mile marker 7.4, by Exit 8, in Nashua.

Upon arrival, State Troopers located two vehicles, identified as a 2020 International box truck, driven by Jeramy Desrosiers, 38, of Greenville, and a 2013 Dodge Avenger, driven by Whitney Barney, 33, of Nashua. The preliminary investigation determined that traffic had slowed and the box truck was struck from behind by the Dodge.

Barney suffered serious injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to a Massachusetts hospital for treatment. Her juvenile passenger was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. Desrosiers was not injured.

Traffic on the F.E. Everett Turnpike was impacted for several hours during the investigation.
