ROCHESTER - Frisbie Memorial Hospital's CEO on Monday hailed a recent study that ranked New Hampshire tops in the nation when it comes to overall health care, making the state even more attractive to individuals looking to work and raise a family in the Granite State.
"New Hampshire is an incredible place to live - known for its natural beauty, strong communities, and commitment to quality of life," said Tom Bowden, chief executive officer at Frisbie. "Access to high-quality healthcare is a vital part of that."
With the average American spending nearly $14,600 per year on personal health care, the personal-finance website WalletHub recently released its report on 2025's Best & Worst States for Health Care.
In order to determine where Americans receive the highest-quality services at the best prices, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 44 key measures of health care cost, accessibility and outcome. The data set ranges from the average monthly insurance premium to physicians per capita to the share of insured population.
Bowden noted that Frisbie along with three other HCA Healthcare hospitals are committed to playing a major role in keeping Granite Staters healthy.
"Our four New Hampshire hospitals work closely together to ensure our patients receive the most appropriate and effective care and treatment," he said. "And as part of one of the nation's largest health systems, HCA Healthcare, we have access to the tools and resources necessary to continually provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare, and to keep our patients right here in New Hampshire."
In addition to Frisbie, HCA Healthcare operates three other hospitals in New Hampshire, including Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Parkland Medical Center and Catholic Medical Center.
