LEBANON - Charles Willett, 84, of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, Sept., 10, 2013, after battling cancer. Charlie was born April 26, 1929. to Catherine and Charles Willett Sr. in upstate New York. Charlie worked alongside his dad, a licensed plumber, until entering the Army Airborne Infantry. Charlie served in combat in the Korean War. He was a decorated Veteran with a Purple Heart. After leaving the army, he found his way to the Seacoast Area and worked in the plumbing, construction and maintenance trades until settling in as an electrician. 

Charlie was a Master Electrician licensed throughout New England. He was contracted by Cumberland Farms back in the day to install the electrical in a majority of their New England stores. He owned and operated Willett Electric out of Somersworth, N.H., for many years.

In his later years Charlie was always willing to help out family, friends and even strangers if needing a hand with projects, loaning tools, or advice. He would often jump right in alongside and get his hands dirty. Charlie was never one to sit on the sidelines when it came to hard work.

Charlie has many friends and family that loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed

Charlie was predeceased by his much loved friend and partner Donna. He often said that not a day goes by without the thought of her. He was also predeceased by his parents and brother Tom Willett.

He is survived by sisters Sophie and Shirley Willet, and cousin Barbara. Daughter Christine "Bomma" and her husband Joe Cyr of Gonic, daughter Catherine " Kit" and her husband Michael Jacques of Berwick, Maine; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Charlie was also stepdad to Linda Zullo, Judy Richard, Debbie Ottatti and Sue Weeks.
