ROCHESTER - Edward Newhall, 89, of South Dewberry Lane died Thursday October 24, 2013, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a brief Illness.
Born July 28, 1924 in Taunton, Mass., he is the son of the late John and Florence Newhall Dustin.
Mr. Newhall has lived in Rochester for the past seven years after growing up in Taunton and Medfield, Mass. He has also lived in Somersworth and Barrington. He was employed as a custodian for the Medfield School Department. He served in the United States Military during World War II. He is a life member of the VFW and the DAV. He enjoyed woodworking, writing letters to his friends and also was a photographer and writer at Foster's Daily Democrat.
Members of his family include his sons; Edward Barry Newhall of Thailand and David Newhall of Texas, a daughter, Cheryl LaRoche of Durham, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, his longtime companion and caregiver, Jeannette Monbleau of Rochester; he was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
