Obit: Lorraine Marie Perry ... Rochester teacher

ROCHESTER - Lorraine Marie (Stewart) Perry, 45, passed unexpectedly on Sept.r 11, 2013 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Lorraine was born in Lynn, Mass., on May 20, 1968, to Dale F. (Reilly) and Rupert K. Stewart.

She graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 1986 and Salem State College with a degree in Education in 1991. Lorraine married Michael J. Perry in 1991 and they moved to Manchester, where their children Shannon Perry and Curtis Perry were born. Lorraine lived in Manchester for nearly 12 years where she taught kindergarten at the Villa Augustina. Lorraine moved to Rochester in 2003 and became a teacher at the McClelland Elementary School in 2005 where she taught 5th, 2nd and finally 3rd grade. Lorraine was a member of the Rochester Federation of Teachers and an active member of the Rochester PTA.

Her family writes: "Lorraine's generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to her family, her students and her community. She lived her life with integrity, compassion." Lorraine is survived by her husband Michael Perry and children Shannon and Curtis Perry of Rochester; mother and father Dale F. and Rupert K. Stewart of Reading, Mass; her sisters Kathryn A. Hazel of Chelmsford, Mass, Heather J. Flynn of Andover, Mass and Emily F. Murray-Stewart of Medford, Mass.

Our beloved wife, mother of two, daughter, sister, educator, colleague and friend will be remembered at calling hours on Monday September 16, 2013 from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. at Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave Dover, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday September 17 at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel Advent Christian Church, 24 Eastern Ave Rochester, NH. Friends and family who would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers are invited to celebrate Lorraine's memory with a contribution to an educational fund for the Perry children.
