LEBANON - Michael John Saverese, 43, passed away quietly on January 20, 2014 at the home he built in Lebanon, with his wife Colleen by his side. Born in New Haven, Conn., Michael was a son of Carmine John Jr. and Martha Goodyear Saverese. He grew up in Orange, Conn., and graduated from Amity High School. He worked with his parents in the seafood business then moved to Lebanon in 1994 with his bride to be. Once he was settled in Maine, Michael, a master carpenter, ran his own contracting business. He also operated the Three Corner Variety Store in Milton, and Fernald Shore, the family swimming and picnicking business in Lebanon.

Michael was a hard worker and a doting husband and father. He made people laugh and was never at a loss for words. He was generous to his friends and family, kind to his customers and acquaintances. He was an accomplished self-taught guitarist and a great lover of music. Michael's physical strength was a perfect match for his gentle nature. His daughters were his pride and joy and his wife was his best friend and the love of his life.

Surviving is his wife Colleen Saverese, of Lebanon; his daughters Alexis Marie and Emeline Louise; his parents Carmine and Martha Saverese; his sisters Marcia Perkins of Somersworth, N.H. and Lisa Guzda of Panacea, Fla., and her husband Paul Guzda; his brother Donald Saverese of Camden, Maine and his wife Kathleen Brown; four brothers -in law and two sisters- in law; six nephews and one niece; his mother- in law and father- in law Gaetana and Anthony Maturo of Vernon, Conn.
