ROCHESTER - Robert D. Pettibone, 66, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at his home following a long illness.

Born Aug. 7, 1947, in Pittsfield, Mass., he was a son of Kenneth and Margaret (Bigelow) Pettibone.

Mr. Pettibone served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He later worked for many years for VXI. 

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and go camping.

Members of his family include his wife, Kathleen (McKay) Pettibone of Rochester; his children Michael, David, and Cathy Pettibone all of Eliot, Maine; and Robert Dutcher Pettibone of Strafford; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his mother, Margaret Pettibone of Pittsfield, Mass.

He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Pettibone and his brother Burgess Pettibone.
